All-Electric Powertrain: Performance Without Compromise

As Jeep’s first and only fully electric SUV, the Recon is engineered to tackle any terrain with zero emissions. 

It features front and rear electric drive modules (EDMs). These compact, all-in-one units integrate the motor, gearing, and power electronics, providing standard electric four-wheel drive and instant torque delivery to all four wheels.

A major advantage the Recon provides over a gasoline engine is the ability to deliver almost all of its 620 lb-ft of torque immediately. Engineers calibrated the throttle mapping for off-road precision, giving you a predictable and exact response whether you’re on rocky terrain or accelerating onto the highway.

For serious off-roading, an electronic locking rear differential evenly distributes power to both rear wheels with the flip of a switch. The vehicle is engineered to handle repeated bursts of EV torque off-road, with strengthened half-shafts and CV joints. The 100-kWh, 400-volt battery pack is centrally positioned between the axles and protected by high-strength steel underbody skid plates.

Up front, the Recon boasts illuminated seven-slot grille rings, U-shaped daytime running lights, and premium LED lighting that give it a sharp, confident look. It’s also the only fully electric SUV with removable doors and glass panels, all tool-free, thanks to easy e-release handles.

Gloss Black accents on the grille, pillars, and trim add a sleek touch, and an available Gloss Black roof completes the look. In the back, Wrangler-inspired LED taillamps and a swing gate with a full-size spare tire give the Recon a rugged, trail-ready finish.

The first-to-launch Moab trim turns up the attitude with Gloss Black fascias and flares, available side rock rails, exclusive Jeep badging with topographic details, and an anti-glare hood graphic.

The Recon will come in a range of expressive exterior colors, ranging from neutrals like Diamond Black and Bright White to ‘41, an Army-inspired olive green.

Sustainability is woven throughout the cabin with recycled materials, non-leather Capri surfaces, and durable all-weather mats. A premium Alpine audio system comes standard, with speakers under the seats to maintain strong sound quality—even when you remove the doors.

The impressive interior also features advanced cabin technology, including a 26-inch intuitive screen and an all-new standard 12.3-inch driver cluster with customizable options.
